This steam generation pilot for a patent pending, indirect fired heat exchanger and process converted produced water to 6 kPaa steam, was operated for 8 months. This process does not require extensive upstream water treatment and can be utilized for both small-scale (2,000 – 10,000 bopd) and central processing facilities. The pilot successfully demonstrated the steam generation concept and confirmed design parameters for the commercial scale facility.
